Vineyard Tour in Fredericksburg

This Sunday we felt like doing something other than the usual brunch and mimosas. After a bit of research, we decided to venture into the Texas Hill Country, our sights set on Becker Vineyards in Fredericksburg.

Fredericksburg was founded in 1846 and it is known for its traditional German charm, which shines through in everything from the architecture to the cuisine. I’ve visited the area a few times before and love the eclectic shopping options and the views of the creek that runs through the town.

Becker Vineyards is a little way off the beaten path, but it’s well worth the visit! People know it far and wide for its vast selection of delicious wines, but you can’t miss the gorgeous lavender fields — the aroma is just heavenly!

After getting the chance to sample various wines, including a perfect petite sirah and a refreshing Pinot, I have to say my favorite was the Muscat-Chenin, which was just sweet enough and had tasty floral, spiced and peachy notes.

I wore a Banana Republic flowered blazer that seemed to fit the occasion very well, my very comfortable Michael Kors wedges, a Patek Philippe watch, Zara leggings and an H&M top.

What a great way to spend a gorgeous Sunday! This will definitely not be my last trip to this charming town — I want to explore more of the many vineyards and breweries that we saw while driving around. Stay tuned for my next adventure!
