Pokēworks Opens Franchise in San Antonio, TX
As a poke lover I couldn’t miss the opportunity to go to Pokeworks grand opening this Saturday where I got to try the famous chain that started in New York as well as meet the amazing Sapien family who owns and operates this San Antonio franchise.
Attendees enjoyed a BOGO deal going on all day and free coconuts branded with their logo for this event, I decided to build my own poke bowl which consisted of: white rice, chicken, crab salad, jalapeños, edamame, sesame seeds cucumber, ponzu sauce, spicy mayo and my favorite topping; the fried lotus flowers that were just so unique and flavorful!
There is also a gourmet recipe that changes every month created by Chef Sheldon Simeón from Top Chef that is definitely worth checking out! This month’s was the “Black Album”.
All in all Pokeworks has delicious authentic Hawaiian poke, a great location, and quick service that allows you to grab a quick bite or hang out with friends in their beautifully decorated restaurant. I myself left with a full tummy and an amazing experience which only means I will be back soon!
